Remko – June 27th

June 30, 2008

On Friday I got to photograph such a cool kid! Remko plays the harp, and he is awesome at it! He played a few songs while we were shooting and I was so impressed. I loved seeing how passionate he is about music at such a young age, and he was a perfect model for the day.

Just like our couple from Sunday, I hadn’t met Brad and Tara until the day before their wedding since they both currently live in Edmonton, but I could tell right away that they were great people and we had a blast hanging out with them on Saturday. They were such a beautiful couple and radiated in front of the camera. The whole bridal party was so fun and easy going, and great sports for bearing through all the heat and mosquitoes!

All of their friends and family were so warm and welcoming, so it’s no surprise Brad and Tara are such sweet and generous people. Thank you for letting us share in such a beautiful day!

Our Sunday’s are usually spent mulling through Saturday’s wedding photos and rehashing great memories from the day before, however, this Sunday was different for Tanya, James and I. We headed out to beautiful Waterton to shoot the wedding of Dorn & Courtney.

Not only was this wedding unique for us being on a Sunday, but it was also a very intimate, wedding that took place on the top of the Miss Waterton Boat out on the lake! The scenery was gorgeous, the bride and groom were stunning, and the ceremony was amazing.

This couple is from Calgary so we didn’t actually even meet in person until today and when we showed up to begin shooting we could tell it was going to be a great time. Both Dorn and Courtney have great laid back personalities and you could feel the love between them during the whole session. They had no bridal party so we got to spend the entire shoot with just the two of them, it was really fun!

Thank you guys for allowing us to spend the day with you and to be involved in your special day, we feel honored to have been there and we wish you all the best in your long future together!

Hope, Tanya and James

Yesterday James and I had the privilege of shooting Brad and Breanne’s wedding! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and so was Breanne! We first met Brad and Breanne last year when the came to us to talk about their wedding, and we knew from the moment we met that this wedding was going to be great fun to shoot!

The wedding party was game for anything and that made location shooting a ton of fun, we headed all over town and there was always a lot of laughter and smiles. The evening reception started with us escaping off to shoot some sunset photos, then back to the party to get the dance started.

Thanks for a memorable day guys, we hope you had as much fun as we did and congrats on your marriage!

The McNeil Family

Yesterday I had a fun time with Phil, Leah, Paige, and Ella in the park for photos! Both of the girls were bubbly and adorable, and their parents glowed every time they looked at the girls. The park was swamped with children celebrating their last day of school for the summer, but we managed to sneak around them, even though the girls would have much rather played than posed for photos : )
