This past weekend Sarah and I drove out to Fernie to photograph Bob and Mardell’s gorgeous mountain wedding, and we had such a great time! By the end of the day we really felt like we were a part of this warm family.

Mardell was probably the most excited bride I’ve ever had, and you could tell in every ear to ear grin she flashed us in the morning. After she had finished getting ready, we did a reveal in downtown Fernie – her and Bob got to see each other for the first time that day away from everyone else and didn’t have to hold back any emotion! These two are so cute together and absolutely perfect for each other.

After the photos and their beautiful outdoor ceremony on the ski hill, everyone cut loose at their reception, and the dance floor was never empty for a minute!

Thank you for letting us share your special weekend with you!

We haven’t even been to their reception yet, but I just couldn’t wait to write about William and Erica! We met them downtown today for their wedding photos and had such a great time. They chose gorgeous wedding colors, and really added a lot of style to their day – including a fantastic vintage limo, and a ring bearer to match! These two and their bridal party were so full of energy and really inspiring to shoot. Now to the reception!

Last night was a HUGELY successful night for us at the Welcome Wagon bridal show. It took place at the El Rancho Hotel and there were hundreds of brides there! We brought all of of great new big pieces and a projector for our slide show instead of the usual small television. It was awesome to see our photos all on display so large and bold, we personally think that our booth was one of the coolest ones there! :)

Hope to see you at the next bridal show at the exhibition grounds on January 11th, 2009, it is going to be even BIGGER and BETTER!!

Joel & Maricel – August 31st

September 2, 2008

We had been looking forward to doing Joel and Cel’s wedding for some time now, and finally the day had come… along with the rain and chilly weather! They didn’t let it put a damper on their day though, and were fortunate they could move their ceremony indoors. They had their intimate ceremony and reception at Land O Lakes in Coaldale, so even though we were stuck inside, we had a great view of the golf course! They incorporated some traditional Filipino elements into the day and combined it with a really fun beach theme (at least we could pretend it was warm outside!).

The weather luckily cleared up enough for some outdoor portraits, and Joel & Cel were as cute as ever! They are so perfect for each other. :) The reception was also a blast, and we didn’t want to leave at the end of the night because we were having so much fun!
