Ang & Joe – maternity

Our friends and next door neighbors are having a baby!! Joe and Angela are due on the 29th of this month and we are SO excited for them!! They popped by the studio for some maternity photos and I have to say that I LOVE all the shots we did on the black background :) I really enjoy taking the edgy, artistic maternity photos and since these two were up for anything, I got to play a little more than I usually do.

I am posting my absolute favorite shot of the session here, although I had so much to work with!!

Thanks for letting me do these for you guys, i had so much fun. I can’t wait to meet the little one and do your newborn shoot :)

Jason, Judith and Ole

Last night I had the amazing pleasure of meeting a family that is going through an incredible battle right now. Their strength and courage has left me in a state of awe and admiration. Judith is battling terminal cancer and her 6 month old son Ole, and husband Jason are by her side with unconditional love and support.

Jason had asked me to come do a very special photo for them of their feet after seeing it done on our baby announcement cards. I love this photo and its impact is so meaningful to me, we took this photo when we brought a life into this world, and now I have taken it as a life is passing.

Thank you again for allowing me into your home to share your family with me, my heart is heavy but I know that this photo will forever be with you.
