The most amazing wedding that we have shot to date came a few days ago. We are in gorgeous, sunny, HOT, Cuba with Cindy and Bal and Wednesday was their wedding! We woke up to scorching hot temperatures and unbelievable humidity, our hottest day here so far, and we sweated it out through breakfast and lunch until it was time to get ready.

The wedding was beautiful and was in an amazing little gazebo/cabana tip building that was surrounded in water and lush tropical plants and palm trees. Cindy was drop dead gorgeous, and Bal and al of the men int he wedding had on traditional Phillipino Barong Shirts. James even wore one and if you don’t mind me saying, he looked quite handsome :)

Photos went on through theta rest of the afternoon starting with the family and ending us up on the beach alone with Cindy and Bal, we made our way through theta resort shooting all over and finally back to the suite where we chilled on the balcony and just hung out enjoying each others company! These two are SO amazing at making you feel like you are part of their family. they have treated us with nothing but respect and love and we thank them so much for bringing us along to be a part of their special wedding. This has been an amazing week so far and now we can all just relax and enjoy the rest of what Cuba is offering us all!

*More to be posted upon our arrival home! Internet access is dial up here and also is monitored by the Cuban Govt. We have SO MUCH to share and are excited for you all to see it all!*

Krista, the Bongo shot is for you and Zanika! Cindy sends all her love.

Marek and I got a little extra bonus for our playdate in the fall leaves! SNOW :) We also got some puddles to jump and play in as well so it was good times for everyone! This little dude is an adorable little ball of energy and SO much fun to play with and shoot, his mom and dad brought him to come see me and we spent some time hanging out, playing with twigs and leaves and throwing snowballs at daddy.

The cold never stopped him once and I got so many great shots in his session I had a touch time picking favorites for the blog.

Thanks for coming to play with me Marek, I had so much fun and you did awesome!

It got a bit too cold and windy out to finish our fall session outside, so IzzyB came into the studio this morning to do some pictures in her tutu. There were nothing but smiles, dimples and cuteness and I couldn’t think of a better way to start my work day.
Thanks for coming in ladies!

Today we had the honor of shooting some photos for Byron and Elena’s wedding. You may remember this great looking couple from my e-session with them back in the summer with Byron’s beautiful vintage truck. The snow fell like mad yesterday and the cold didn’t let up today, but we all sucked it up (especially the girls in their dresses!) and braved the snow, wind and freezing cold temperatures to do some wedding photos out at the Norland.

I feel like this wedding was one of my best as far as flow and work goes, we had to keep it moving along at a fairly fast pace, and with no time for fooling around, every shot I took had intent and purpose, it was really a great day!

I managed to sneak in a few “trick” shots that make it look like it was still a beautiful late summer or fall day, but in the end we had to embrace the snow and have some fun with it!

Thanks for such an awesome afternoon you guys, enjoy your hot, hot, hot, tropical honeymoon, you deserve it!

Our day of fall kids sessions continued on with miss Isabelle. She is one of my favorite babies on the entire world and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to meet her mom and dad through shooting their wedding last summer. I met IzzyB when she was just mere hours old and I really truly can’t get enough of this little sweetie.

IzzyB is normally FULL of nothing but smiles, but with an impending blizzard upon our session, the poor little bug was chilly and the smiles were a bit tough to get! She was a toughy and made it through like a champ and we manage to finish just minutes before the snow came dumping down.
