Lethbridge Top Model

November 17, 2008

We spent Sunday November 16th shooting the finalists for the Lethbridge Top Model Contest and man, was that fun!! There were 13 models in total, 3 males, 5 teens and 5 women. Our day started bright and early at 8am with hair and makeup, then went for 7 hours and included wardrobe changes, set changes, makeovers and video interviews.

This was a great group of people with a lot of talent and passion so working with them was so much fun, we did posing seminars as well so by the end of the day, they were banging it out!

Thanks everyone for spending the day at the studio! and GOOD LUCK!!

Hope

We had the pleasure of dressing up to shoot the 100th Anniversary of the 18th Air Defence Regiment at the Lethbridge College. The event was a full military dinner with special guests in attendance including the Lt. Governor of Alberta, Norman Kwong.

The event was gorgeous, complete with old photos, great food, gorgeous dresses and over 100 men and women in uniform. It was a great way to spend a Saturday evening and the guests looked really happy to be there too!

Last night was a HUGELY successful night for us at the Welcome Wagon bridal show. It took place at the El Rancho Hotel and there were hundreds of brides there! We brought all of of great new big pieces and a projector for our slide show instead of the usual small television. It was awesome to see our photos all on display so large and bold, we personally think that our booth was one of the coolest ones there! :)

Hope to see you at the next bridal show at the exhibition grounds on January 11th, 2009, it is going to be even BIGGER and BETTER!!

We had so much fun at last year’s convention that we just had to go again! We were only able to attend on Friday this year, and even though attendance was still slow since it wasn’t quite the weekend, we still had a great time and met some really cool people, including the one and only Lizardman.

This also was Jaxen’s first tattoo convention, so we had to go all out! If you saw a few posts ago, I’m working on turning him into a pirate, so we couldn’t resist baby’s first tattoo going a little Sailor Jerry (don’t worry, it’s only temporary :P ).

Lethbridge Photo Club

April 19, 2008

I had the honor of being asked to help judge a print competition at the Lethbridge Photography Club. The theme was pet portraits and there was some really cool work there!! My fellow judges were Chris Yauck and Sandra Hoffarth, we had a blast doing the judging and it was really fun to hang out for an evening with some fellow pros as well as a ton of amateurs and hobbyists that had a passion for photography.

Thanks for having me out guys! Any time you want me to come hang out, speak, or judge, I’m there.
