The wedding went off without a hitch, the weather was amazing, the ceremony was beautiful, and we spent all day and night trekking around the resort and Dunns River Falls shooting photos! The day started bright and early with the ceremony at 11am, and went through the day finishing off with a tiki lit beach dance!!

Here are a few shots from the day, I promised I wouldn’t post too many sneak peek photos before the couple has a chance to return from their honeymoon , I realize I missed posting day 3 and day 5 as well, but those will be coming together in a collaborated blog showing more of the photos from the trip!

Enjoy :)

Day 2 here in Ocho Rios Jamaica. We are taking a break from the extremely hot hot hot sun and humidity to work a bit in the slightly cooler open air lobby area. They are supposed to have wireless internet here so we can upload stuff etc, but right now the net appears to be down, so I will write this blog and post it later!!

James and I started our day with a great breakfast at the buffet, the food here is awesome! We then headed to the beach to hang out with Dana and Todd and the rest of the family and friends that were hanging out  down there. They were all talking about going out on some small catamaran sail boats and some kayaks so I wanted to get some shots of that for sure. I ended up taking out a camera with Todd, Dana and Nate on a little sailing cruise! It was so fun, those little boats sure can go amazingly fast :)

After sailing we hung out around the pool with some more of the group, and shot some photos of the ladies all doing water aerobics (always a good show to watch) and then back to the beach for some Jamaican Jerk Chicken. YUMMMMM. The weather today is about 32 degrees, but with the humidity it feels a lot hotter. Luckily for us all there is never ending cold drinks and a lovely breeze coming off the ocean!

Will post more photos later, stay tuned!

Just a short (hah) 21 hours after pulling out of our driveway at home, we arrived in beautiful Jamaica! The weather here was a bit cloudy when we got in, but the humidity level is through the roof and after sitting on the airplanes all day with the cold recycled air, it was a welcome change!

Our day started with a two hour drive to Calgary, leaving our son Jaxen home with his nana. When we got to the airport we ended up having a 4 hours wait before our red-eye flight to Toronto. We arrived in toronto at 6:15am TO time and lined up at the timmy’s for breakfast. After eating and chilling at the gate, we all met up with the other half of the group (minus 8 people) and we then boarded the plane out to Montego Bay.

At this point no one had really gotten any sleep on trip so far, so we were all hoping that we could catch some z’s on this second flight. James and I managed to get about 1 hour of rest int his second flight, which was certainly better than nothing, but we were definitely feeling the effects of jet lag and of being up for well over 24 hours straight.

We all got into Montego bay at about 1:30pm and after the chaotic airport, we boarded our own little tour bus that took us through some gorgeous country side to our resort in Ocho Rios, 2 hours away. We stopped about half an hour into the trip at a little bar so people could get some cold drinks for the bus ride, it as so authentically Jamaican and had a very cool feel to it.

We all finally arrived at the resort at about 5pm and went to our rooms to shower, change and get ready for FOOD! :) This place is beautiful and has amazing food at the buffet, so we all pigged out a bit and caught up on a day of no eating, then we hung out down by the entertainment stage and listened to live music. Unfortunately one of the little girls Hannah went for a swim in the ocean after dark and got a pretty wicked jellyfish sting on her arm :( She was a toughie though and stopped crying almost immediately!! She had some wicked sting swelling on her whole upper arm and we all felt horrible for her, but the nurse here hooked her up with some anti-histamine cream and she was so good with it!!

So now it is 9:45 and we are off to bed. Here are some photos from day 1 :) Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

The most amazing wedding that we have shot to date came a few days ago. We are in gorgeous, sunny, HOT, Cuba with Cindy and Bal and Wednesday was their wedding! We woke up to scorching hot temperatures and unbelievable humidity, our hottest day here so far, and we sweated it out through breakfast and lunch until it was time to get ready.

The wedding was beautiful and was in an amazing little gazebo/cabana tip building that was surrounded in water and lush tropical plants and palm trees. Cindy was drop dead gorgeous, and Bal and al of the men int he wedding had on traditional Phillipino Barong Shirts. James even wore one and if you don’t mind me saying, he looked quite handsome :)

Photos went on through theta rest of the afternoon starting with the family and ending us up on the beach alone with Cindy and Bal, we made our way through theta resort shooting all over and finally back to the suite where we chilled on the balcony and just hung out enjoying each others company! These two are SO amazing at making you feel like you are part of their family. they have treated us with nothing but respect and love and we thank them so much for bringing us along to be a part of their special wedding. This has been an amazing week so far and now we can all just relax and enjoy the rest of what Cuba is offering us all!

*More to be posted upon our arrival home! Internet access is dial up here and also is monitored by the Cuban Govt. We have SO MUCH to share and are excited for you all to see it all!*

Krista, the Bongo shot is for you and Zanika! Cindy sends all her love.
