My little cousin Taylor Is graduating from Athabasca University and while I was up in Calgary, we took some time to hang out with the family and shoot some photos! I don’t get to see my family enough, since we all live all over the place and have fairly hectic lives, so this was a great opportunity. I have never really shot photos for family before, so it was fun to be able to just relax and use some of my more embarrassing techniques and sounds to get the dogs’ attention. haha

It was great seeing you all together again and a HUGE congrats to Taylor on all your hard work!! We wish you luck and love up north in your new job :D

Love Hope (and James + Jaxen)

Tristin and her Boyfriend Spencer hung out with me on Wednesday afternoon to do Tristin’s grad photos. They both looked stunning in their blue and Tristin is so darn gorgeous she made my work really easy. I learned that her mom made her dress and I was floored by the talent of this woman! This dress was so perfect, the color was amazing, the cut and lines were beautiful and she wore it so well! All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better young woman or dress to shoot!

Thanks for coming out to shoot, I am so happy that the rain stayed away :) See you again soon!

Matt was another U of L student that convocated this week and we got to do his shoot on Friday. He graduated with a degree in Philosophy after already completing a Computer Science degree earlier, and now he is off to do his Masters in Ontario! Congrats Matt :)

Thanks for coming in and spending some time with me, and best of luck in all of your future endeavors, you’ll do awesome!

I am a few days behind on my blogging due to an incredibly busy weekend! Back on Thursday, Michelle and her family came in to get some photos done. Michelle just convocated from the U of L with an education degree! It is always exciting to me to do photos of new grads because the passion and light in them is extraordinary, and they always are SO happy to finally be done school knowing all their hard work paid off in the end.

Michelle’s family also includes two big labs named Amy and Chester and these dogs were awesome. Amy had me laughing every time I squeaked my toy because her head would tilt so far he looked like a big owl.

Congrats on your convocation Michelle, your family is lovely and it was a pleasure working with all of you :)
